Hi Imallie,

I enjoyed reading your blog this week, as it was very clear and concise and touched on some great points. I agree that most of what we learn is from PLN vs. school and I think that for this reason PLNs should be discussed more in education. I also love that discussing why there is discomfort opens up another educational door and allows individuals to start social change. I believe that because we have the ability to pursue open conversations creates a unique and strong portal towards innovation and revolution. Great job this week!

Hi Kiana,

I absolutely love the quote from Brad Baker at the beginning of your post. I also connected with these words in his interview and find them very powerful. I agree that in times like these, our PLN give Indigenous peoples/communities the ability to speak up and share their expierences to gain followers and bring change. When I was taught about our history I agree that there was no room for change, and this really bothered me as I believe that it is no way to strive towards reconciliation. I am proud to live in B.C. where the Indigenous education curriculum is stronger, yet there is lots of room for improvement. I really enjoyed the tweets you have shared, and I myself am going to start following these accounts and groups. Lastly, your final paragraph that touches on cancle culture is very important. I agree that we must be mindful and cautious to allow boundaries and respect throughout social media. I really enjoyed reading this post, great job!
