Hi Helen,

I really enjoyed reading your final blog post, your final assignment sounds fantastic! I love how you separated each social media platform into the best uses for personal, health, business, and education. I agree with exactly what you labeled each of them, as I have recently gotten Twitter and find it is very beneficial for education. I also really enjoy that you resonated with diversity among your PLN as I believe that this is essential for building a relevant and accurate PLN. I agree that this course also made me view social media differently and find that I use my accounts more professionally and learning-based now. I wish you luck with the rest of your summer!!

Hi!

Great final blog post, I see that you have learned a lot of knowledge surrounding education and PLN. I love that you were able to view this teacher website in your practicum during COVID-19 this must have been very educational and useful for your career, it sounds very nicely laid out. I also follow Trevor MacKenzie, Shelly Moore, and Brad Baker on social media and find their content very beneficial for me as an education major. I like the quote you mentioned, “it takes a long time to build a reputable reputation but only a second to break it”. This is very true and prevalent in today’s ‘cancel culture’, I see you have a great understanding of how to use social media professionally. Lastly, I like your idea of creating 2 accounts, professional and personal, and feel as though I will need to do the same to ensure my digital identity remains in good standing and is viewed as professional. Have a great summer!
