French knots are the embroidery technique where you wrap the thread around the needle and bring the needle through the fabric to create a knot (flower shape) on top. Usually one would wrap the knot 2-4 times around the needle, however, the more you wrap the bigger the flower will be, so make it creative and unique. I used this technique on the shorts above and in addition to this, I used a rose wrapping technique that is really cool way to use and manipulate the thread.
